Volunteers from Cheshire Police Museum staged their first “roadshow” of the season at Stockton Heath Festival in Warrington.
Hundreds of people attended the popular event and despite inclement weather cheery museum volunteers were on hand to chat about their activities.
For visitors there was the opportunity to learn about the museum with its exhibits of police history in the old Victorian Cells, the motorbike and police car and display of firearms. For the youngster too there was the chance to try on old police uniforms, hats and shields.
Museum volunteers were supported by three Cheshire officers PC Will Austin, PC Wendy Whitehead and PCSO Stephen Blake.
They offered crime prevention and safety tips. There was also the opportunity for youngsters to experience having their fingerprints taken.
Many visitors were keen to hear about the Museum Open Days and are eager to visit the Arpley Street, Warrington, venue.
The free Open Days are on Wednesdays from 10am to 3pm on August 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th and everyone is welcome.
