Two families from Hong Kong had a “wonderful day” when they visited the Museum of Policing in Cheshire.
The families moved to the UK less than a year ago, and were thrilled to learn more about the town when they visited the Warrington-based venue.
One of the visitors said: “Before the tour began, we were very excited to try on police uniforms and helmets, taking photos to capture this memorable moment – an experience that most of us from Hong Kong have never had before.
“During the visit, both the adults and children were very interested in the history on display. They kept asking questions about every detail, eager to learn more about Warrington’s past and the events that have taken place here.”
Youngsters were fascinated by model police car display and were surprised that some were open-top vehicles.

They enjoyed learning about police history and felt the tour gave them a real connection with Warrington.
One of the visitors explained: “We hope more families from Hong Kong can visit the museum in the future, allowing them to better understand the friendly and approachable side of British policing, and to help strengthen the relationship between the police and the community.”
