There was “lots of laughter” when Warrington Masonic Fellowship visited the Museum of Policing in Cheshire.
The group of 11 members were interested in police uniforms through the ages, hearing about crime detection and visiting the Victorian cells. They enjoyed seeing the police garage with old pedal cycles, a police car and motorbike.
Entertaining them with tales of police history were stalwart volunteers Ann and Olive, together with PCSO Tony Spruce. Ann said there was “lots of laughter” when the group visited the Warrington-based museum.
The museum is a registered charity entirely run by volunteers. In support of this visit leader Lynda Hamilton from the fellowship presented a £50 cheque to the museum, and there were other donations on the day. (see below)
